I, having been elected, or appointed by the Representative Liaison, to the position of Treasurer of ICES for the State/Area/Province/Country/Chapter stated above, accept the responsibilities to help lead our members and support our organization.
S/A/P/C/C funds of any nature are to be under the supervision and control of the S/A/P/C/C Representative and Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be the chief financial officer of this S/A/P/C/C, keep the complete, permanent financial records (backup for these records, receipts, etc., must be kept for a minimum of seven (7) years), sign the checks, and perform other duties as required by government agencies and the ICES Chapter Bylaws. The Treasurer shall provide a written report of receipts and disbursements at each meeting and maintain the necessary financial records. The Treasurer shall deposit all funds of the S/A/P/C/C in a financial institution to be named by the S/A/P/C/C Representative. The Treasurer is authorized to pay expenses incurred for Days of Sharing, newsletters, and other S/A/P/C/C approved projects. Upon retirement from office, the Treasurer shall turn over to the succeeding Treasurer or to the Representative, all funds, financial records, and any other Chapter property. Copies of all Treasurer reports must be made available to all S/A/P/C/C members, upon request, at a reasonable cost.
By accepting this position, I am committing myself to serve this organization to the best of my ability. I further agree to support, and promote the organization by being an active member, including participating in meetings and attending the annual conventions, if possible. I will take these duties seriously. I will follow directives from the Board of Directors and act on Board suggestions to the best of my ability.
As the Treasurer, I will keep my ICES membership current during my term, I will assist the Representative in fulfilling his/her duties, and I will follow the Bylaws for my S/A/P/C/C.
