August 18 in Cleveland, GA--GA Chapter of ICES is hosting our Summer Day of Sharing at The Community House, Cleveland, GA. Registration at the door opens at 9:30 a.m. and meeting begins at 10:00. B. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 in Pineville, NC--North Carolina ICES presents the 2008 Carolina Cake Show in Carolina Place Mall from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please join us for a fun-filled day of beautiful sugar art displays as well as interesting demonstrations of many different sugar techniques for both beginners and experienced decorators. Entries will be displayed throughout the mall and will include cakes from all skill levels - children through professionals. In addition, there will be a Rolled Fondant and Icing Needlework class on Sunday, Sept. 21 by past ICES president B. Keith Ryder at the Comfort Suites Hotel directly across the street from the mall. September 27-28 in Columbus, OH -- Ohio ICES Weekend of Sharing - Our regularly scheduled Day of Sharing event will include classes! We are offering classes on Saturday, September 27 by Keith Ryder, Autumn Carpenter and Julie Rosfeld. Right after our Sunday Day of Sharing we will have another class by Anna Wiesend and Becky Rink together. This event is held at the Crown Plaza Hotel. November 16 in Columbia, SC -- Join us for a great day featuring some great sugar artists from around the country. Barb Sullivan from Alabama, whose beautiful wedding cakes are often featured in Alabama Bride magazine, will share some of her techniques with us. Also, her husband Cliff will be joining us to make Cliff’s Chocolate Ganache, Barb’s Way and his other special talent in lighting your cakes for the most beautiful effects. Our other special guest will be Ruth Rickey from Oklahoma. Ruth has won two gold medals in the National Wedding Competition and numerous other awards.
