We are pleased to host the latest ICES Hall of Fame inductee, Colette Peters as our special guest teacher and demonstrator. July 11-12, 2015: Wedding Cake Class with Ceri Griffiths at 18911 N. Pau Hana, Chillicothe, Illinois 61526.  Join Ceri Griffiths as he shares his classic yet contemporary three tier wedding cake design featuring piping techniques in royal icing. Ceri is a commercial cake decorator having worked within the bakery industry for many years and is conscious that cakes should be commercially viable for his students; the Wedding Rings Wedding Cake is one such cake. This class project will teach you five different piped borders, four variations on linework, cake mapping, piped off-pieces, basic cushion piping and the use of sugar embellishments. You will walk away from class with this wonderful display cake to wow you friends and clients as well as a bunch of new piping skills. Sept 11-12, 2015: Houston Cake Club presents Karen Vazquez class at Larry’s Arts & Crafts, 1510 Richey St, Pasadena, TX 77502. Karen will teach this as a 2-tier cake in a 2-day class. Under Forms you will find a DOS/Event form which when submitted will go directly to the Internet, Social Media, Newsletter, Publicity, and Reps committees, allowing your ICES DOS/Event information to get out quickly in a variety of communication formats. (All newsletter submissions need to be submitted 60 days prior to the desired publication month.) Please also note all submissions are subject to editing with regard to content and space availability.

Or you can email a brief (5-6 sentences) description of your DOS/Event to each individual committee (a list can be found on the “Contact” page under “Board”). Be sure to give the name of your organization, the exact address to include zip code, dates & times, as well as contact information. A one page Flyer can also be included.
